Warren Buffett Speaks About State of Banking

Washington, DC
Thursday, September 19, 2013

At a wide ranging discussion on investing and the economy, Berkshire Hathaway CEO Warren Buffett spoke about his career, his business philosophy and the problem of income equality as the nation recovers from the recent recession.

Buffett took part in a conversation with Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan at an event hosted by Bank of America and the Global Social Enterprise Initiative at Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business.

In August of 2011, Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway firm invested $5 billion in Bank of America at a time when BoA had lost more than 30 percent of value. Within two years, Berkshire Hathaway earned a $5.27 billion profit for its investment.
