Teamsters President on Labor and the 2012 Campaign

Teamsters President James Hoffa discusses the road ahead for American labor leading up to the Nov. 6 general election at a National Press Club luncheon.

Hoffa is in his fourth term as the union's general president and next year will surpass his father, James R. Hoffa, to become the second-longest serving president in the 110-year history of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. The Teamsters represent more than 1.4 million workers.

Today, President Obama kicked off a three-day bus tour bus to tout his American Jobs Act and pressure Congress to move his legislation forward. “We should be talking about jobs,” the President said during his first stop in Fletcher, North Carolina.  He then called on the GOP to work with his administration to help pass his jobs bill.
