On Saturday, July 27 C-SPAN Radio concludes this month’s series of some of President Richard Nixon’s phone calls from the summer of 1972 , while the President was at Camp David.

In this last program: President Nixon talks to White House Chief of Staff Bob Haldeman and White House Press Secretary Ron Ziegler about the war in Vietnam, the presidential campaign and an interview of Mrs. Nixon that has angered the president. You’ll also hear birthday greetings from Mr. Nixon to AFL-CIO President George Meany.

In this program: Phone conversations with Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman and Johnson adviser Richard Russell. Topics  in these 1964 calls include violence against Americans in the Panama Canal zone---the conclusions of the Warren Commission on the assassination of President Kennedy---and the war in Vietnam.
