Speaker Boehner on 'Fiscal Cliff' Negotiations

Washington, DC
Thursday, December 13, 2012

House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) remarked on his discussions with the White House on the so called "fiscal cliff,' during his weekly briefing with members of the Capitol Hill press.

Speaker Boehner criticizes President Obama for not being serious on cutting spending and blames the President on why both parties haven’t reached an agreement.  This week, Speaker John Boehner and the White House have traded a second round of proposals addressing the fiscal cliff.

Lawmakers have less than three weeks before the Bush-era tax cuts are set to expire for most Americans, and mandatory domestic and defense spending cuts take effect.
