Senate Homeland Security Hearing on Social Media as Disaster Communications Tool

FEMA Administrator Craig Fugate testified before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Subcommittee on Disaster Recovery on the use of social media such as Twitter, Facebook, and Google in disaster response.  Other witnesses include Shona Brown, Google Senior Vice President as well as communication officers from the American Red Cross and the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management.  Senator Mark Pryor (D-AR) is the chairman of this subcommittee.
