President Obama travels to Capitol Hill to speak with House and Senate Democrats about the economy and job creation, the focus of his recent speeches in Tennessee and Illinois. He is outlining details of a tax reform plan he discussed in his Chattanooga speech.
Speaking at the Amazon Fulfillment Center in Chattanooga on Tuesday, the President announced that he is going to offer a deal that reforms the corporate tax code, as long as the money is used for a significant investment in creating middle-class jobs.
Mr. Obama spoke with Congressional Democrats Wednesday about the details of implementing the Affordable Care Act, which launches in October.
After the meeting with House Democrats, Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Democratic leaders spoke to the press about their discussion with the President. Following his meeting with House members, the President headed over to the Senate side. The Senate Democratic Leadership held a news conference on what was discussed.
