Washington, DC
Saturday, June 18, 2011

Richard Nixon was the 37th President of the United States, serving from 1969 through 1974.

On June 17, 1972, five men were arrested while attempting to bug the Democratic National Committee headquarters in the Watergate complex in Washington, DC.

The Watergate incident would prove to be President Nixon’s undoing and he would resign the presidency in August 1974. Next is Nixon’s first public speech on Watergate from April 30, 1973.
