Joint Chiefs Chairman Speaks at Warrior Resilience Conference

Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Martin Dempsey spoke at the Defense Department’s fourth annual Warrior Resilience Conference, attended by nearly 750 military leaders and psychological health care experts.

The conference provided service members, units, families and communities with resilience-building techniques.

Defense health programs encompass more than $53 billion of the Defense Department’s base budget of $525 billion.

Dr. Levine is the author of Anatomy of a Hospital and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Orthopaedic Association. He is also an orthopedic surgeon emeritus at the Hospital for Special Surgery. The New York Academy of Medicine and the Museum of the City of New York co-hosted this event.
