Hudson Institute Discussion on Syria

Washington, DC
Thursday, April 28, 2011

A member of the Syrian opposition based in Washington insisted that the ruling Assad regime would eventually be brought down by protests sweeping the country.  Human rights activists say hundreds of civilians have died during a government crackdown on protests over the last few weeks.  More than 200 members of the Syrian Parliament have resigned in response to the violence.  At this Hudson Institute discussion on Syria we hear a critique of the Obama Administration, which has so far not called for the government to step down from power.
