Today's morning session of the Governors annual meeting looks at Governors’ programs on childhood hunger. Speakers at this session include: Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack, Julie Gehrki, Senior Director, Walmart Foundation and Daniel Weekley, Vice President-Government Affairs, Dominion Resources.
Sunday's sessions include meetings of the Education, Early Childhood and Workforce Committee (ECW), the Health and Human Services Committee (HHS), the Natural Resources Committee (NR) and the Special Committee on Homeland Security and Public Safety (HSPS).

On Saturday, National Governors Association Chairman David Heineman (R-NE) and Vice Chairman Jack Markell (D-DE) opened the annual governors meeting with a morning press conference to discuss the meeting's agenda and the challenges facing state governments.
NGA's Annual Meeting draws approximately 1,000 attendees. It is one of the organization's two official business meetings held each year; the Winter Meeting is held in Washington, DC, in February. The next Annual Meeting will be held in Salt Lake City, Utah, July 15-17, 2011.
