Defense Dept. Briefing on Afghanistan Air Force

NATO Air Training Command Afghanistan Commander,  Brigadier General David Allvin spoke to reporters at the Pentagon via satellite about efforts to train and equip the Afghan Air Force.  According to the Defense Department, the Afghan Air Force in September of this year consisted of 46 aircraft and just under 4,000 airmen.
