Dedication of President Gerald Ford Statue

Members of Congress gathered in the Capitol Rotunda to dedicate a new statue of former President Gerald Ford.  Members of the former president’s family, including his son Steven and daughter Susan, also spoke.  President Ford served in the U.S. House from 1949 until taking the office of Vice President in 1973.  He served as the Republican Minority Leader for his last 8 years in the House.
