Conference Looks at Global Agriculture and Food Security

The Chicago Council on Global Affairs' Global Agricultural Development Initiative holds a symposium on global agriculture and food security "Beyond L'Aquila: Advancing Food Security at the 2012 G-8 Summit."  President Obama delivers the opening keynote to the Symposium. Bono spoke about his aid organizations and about the proper use of resources already in Africa.

Later Secretary of State Hillary Clinton speaks at the symposium.

According to the White House, with the G8 summit set to begin Friday night, "the President's remarks will highlight the G-8’s efforts to promote food security, improve nutrition and alleviate poverty."
