Susan Eisenhower & Panel 1:
Monday, January 17th marks the 50th Anniversary of President Dwight Eisenhower’s Farewell Address in which he spoke to Americans about the “Military-Industrial Complex.” The Cato Institute hosted a discussion about that speech and whether the former president's warnings have been heeded. In the first portion, you hear from President Eisenhower's granddaughter Susan Eisenhower. After her remarks, a panel of former government officials looks at relations between the civilian sector and the military, and how that’s changed since President Eisenhower’s time.

Panel 2:
In this panel, scholars look at the military-industrial complex today and how it has changed since President Eisenhower’s time.
