Army Chief Addresses Future Challenges Facing the Military

General Raymond Odierno, U.S. Army Chief of Staff, offers an insider's perspective on future security challenges facing the military in light of imminent budget cuts, new strategic priorities and the draw down of American forces from Afghanistan. He speaks at The Brookings Institution.

Earlier this week, General Odierno warned the Senate Armed Services Committee that cuts to the Army budget, included in the sequestration scheduled for March 1st, would hurt military readiness.

Gen. Odierno became the 38th Army Chief of Staff on Sept. 7, 2011.
